___________________________ Physician 3 â€" Rainier School (Buckley, WA) The Challenge An opportunity to work with an outstanding support team of nurses, psychologists, pharmacists and other health professionals providing long term care. We offer one of the few supportive working environments without production restraints in western Washington. We are seeking a highly trained, seasoned Primary Care Physician (Internist or Family Medicine preferred) to provide medical care for a stable panel of disabled adults with interesting and complex special needs. About Rainier School Rainier School is a habilitation center for individuals with developmental dis! abilities located within the city limits of Buckley, Washingto! n about a mile-and-a-half from downtown. The campus is situated in a peaceful country setting with a unique and prominent view of Mount Rainier. Today, Rainier School's population is about 370 adults with a wide variety of abilities and needs. 24-hour residential care and specialized care or teaching is provided in the areas of work or vocational training, leisure activities, social relationships, and everyday life tasks. Programs and services are individualized and designed to enhance self-determination and maximize independence.

Duties:
Position Overview As the Primary care Physician (PCP) of a Program Area Team (PAT) your scope of work will include, but not limited to, assigning, instructing, and directing medical and nursing staff or consultants. You will develop and organize procedures and policy for medical and surgical care. Experience or training in general, geriatric, and psychiatric medical care is required. This position will work 8:00 am to 4! :30 pm Monday through Friday, or a 4-10 schedule if needed. Weekday after hours and weekend phone-call duties on a rotational basis. You will work with a support team of nurses, psychologists, pharmacists and other health professionals providing long term care. No billing or inpatient hospital work, but coordination of care with consultants is critical. Other duties: Performs annual physicals on each assigned client. Client panel is only 100-120, with very low turn-over. Attends annual reviews, admission/discharge planning meetings and Ad Hoc meetings. Prepares and performs 90 day medical reviews for each client with interdisciplinary team. Participates in Professional Practice Group meetings, pharmacy and Therapeutics Reviews, Q.A. reviews and other medical or Rainier Committees. Attends to clients in clinics on both scheduled and as needed basis. Shares physician on call duties during the day and phone call duties after hours Responds to medical emergencies on grounds wit! h the Emergency Response Team, BLS level only. Assists with investigati! ons and administrative reviews when requested. Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director.

Qualifications:
Required: This position requires a valid license to practice medicine and surgery in the State of Washington. Completion of an approved residency program in the designated specialty area (Neurology, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pathology, OB/GYN, or Psychiatrist). Eligibility for American Board certification is required. Certification must be obtained within the six (6) month probationary period as a condition of continued employment.

Supplemental Information:
Compensation In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, the monthly salary for this position is $9,235 to $12,121 .
