Job Description
Virginia Mason Medical Center (VMMC) has an opening for an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (no OB responsibility) physician to join a group of 12 highly skilled board-certified internists, 5 ARNP's for our regional clinic in Federal Way, WA. Federal Way, the largest of our regional clinics is about 22 miles from downtown Seattle. VMMC offers formalized training in lean methods through our Virginia Mason Production System program. As part of our Team Medicine approach at VMMC, you will collaborate with clinic nurses, medical assistants, administrators, and other colleagues at our neighborhood clinics as well as our downtown Seattle campus. Current call is telephone only and 1:10. Saturday hours will be once monthly for four hours.
In 2010, Virginia Mason Medical Center launched an innovative primary care program for patients with complex health needs, such! as diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease and other chronic health conditions. The new Intensive Primary Care program is designed to provide focused, coordinated care for patients, resulting in better health outcomes and increased satisfaction at a lower cost.
The Federal Way Clinic offers a full range of primary care and a wide range of specialty care services, including internal medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, orthopedics, podiatry, general and plastic surgery, dermatology, gastroenterology, urology, otolaryngology, cardiology, ophthalmology, optometry and physical therapy. Other services include laboratory facilities, X-ray, mammography, bone density scanning, ultrasound, CT scans, MRI, an optical shop and a pharmacy.
Our ideal candidate must be BE/BC internist or family physician with a focused desire to improve the healthcare experience for every patient, every time. Both new grads and experienced physicians are welcome to apply. You must ! be driven to provide the best customer service for your patients. Excel! lent communication and patient relation skills are required. Experience with electronic medical records and the ability to work within an environment of continual but logical change are required.
